Job Description
Navigos Search's Client is looking for a seasoned professional to take ownership of the planning, implementation, and optimization of nationwide IP core networks and Tier-3 data center environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in ISP-grade infrastructure, data center networking, and strong leadership in managing network engineering teams and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- National IP Core & Metro Network Management
Architect and optimize a large-scale IP/MPLS backbone and Metro Ethernet network delivering services such as MPLS VPN (domestic & international), leased-line internet, and FTTH.
Plan, allocate, and manage core network resources including IP address space, bandwidth, and routing infrastructure. Oversee and recommend interconnection strategies, including peering and caching, both locally and internationally.
Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority and complex Layer-3 incidents.
Prepare and approve configuration templates, maintenance schedules, and system upgrade plans to ensure network stability and security.
Propose and implement automation initiatives to reduce manual errors and accelerate provisioning.
Collaborate with sales and solutions teams to provide technical network recommendations for enterprise clients.
Contribute to the development of new services and products that leverage existing network infrastructure.
- Data Center Network Operations
Design and operate Tier-3 compliant DC networks based on Leaf-Spine architecture, deploying VXLAN/EVPN overlays and managing both physical and virtual environments (e.g., Arista CloudVision, Cisco ACI).
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across all data center networking operations.
- Team & Operations Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of IP network engineers; assess performance and plan technical growth.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and continuously improving operational workflows and procedures.
Coordinate with multiple departments including service deployment, NOC, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
Uphold and enforce high-level security and compliance standards across all systems.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related fields.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in ISP-grade network operations, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership or expert-level role at a major telecommunications provider.
Active CCIE or JNCIE certification is mandatory.
Fluent in English, with a TOEIC score above 800 or equivalent, capable of working directly with international customers and partners.
- Technical Expertise
In-depth knowledge of advanced routing & switching technologies: OSPF, BGP (incl. MP-BGP, Flowspec), MPLS, Segment Routing.
Experience with L2/L3 MPLS VPN, Traffic Engineering, QoS, and OAM.
Familiarity with Metro Ethernet protocols such as ERPS, QinQ, VPLS, MLAG, MSTP.
Proficient in Data Center fabric technologies: VXLAN/EVPN, overlay/underlay, spine-leaf design.
Hands-on skills in network automation: Ansible, Python, RESTCONF/NETCONF, APIs for network devices.
Strong command of major networking hardware platforms: Cisco (ASR, NCS), Juniper (MX, QFX), Arista.
Exposure to Next-Gen Firewalls, Anti-DDoS systems, traffic shaping, and DPI solutions.
Working knowledge of data center physical infrastructure: cabling, power/cooling, rack setup.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure models (private/public/hybrid) and experience with VMWare vSphere & OpenStack.
- Leadership & Planning
Budgeting experience for network infrastructure CAPEX and OPEX.
Proven ability to manage and scale a team of 10 network engineers.
Skilled in guiding, training, and developing technical talent.

Strong system-thinking mindset, able to operate under pressure and available for urgent 24/7 support if required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively across departments.
Willingness to travel domestically or internationally when needed.
