Job Description
• Lead and perform civil and structural engineering tasks for plant-related projects, including upgrades, modifications, maintenance, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.
• Prepare and review engineering documents such as drawings, design calculations, scopes of work, and technical specifications.
• Manage civil asset integrity programs, including developing inspection plans, coordinating with third-party contractors, assessing inspection results, and recommending repair or maintenance solutions.
• Provide technical support and resolutions for construction, maintenance, and ongoing operations.
• Supervise and guide junior engineers and small contractor teams during project execution.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Support the Civil Engineering Leader in both technical matters and administrative coordination; act as deputy when required.
Job Requirements
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Possess 8–10 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in refinery or petrochemical plants.
• Have experience in Turnaround (TA) or unplanned shutdown projects; experience with civil inspection and maintenance is a strong advantage.
• Certified at least Level 3 in Civil/Structural Engineering Design or equivalent.
• Proficient in international standards and codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC, BS EN, Shell DEP).
• Skilled in hydrologic and geotechnical analysis, foundation and structural design, and civil construction material evaluation.
• Competent in using STAAD.Pro for structural design and AutoCAD for drafting.
• Able to use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and prepare clear technical reports and presentations.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Committed to safety and operational integrity of civil assets within the facility.
