Job Description
Manage daily workshop operations related to cushion covers, foam sofa upholstery, and beanbag production.
Plan production schedules and coordinate work between cutting, sewing, upholstery, filling, and packing areas.
Supervise a team of sewers, upholsterers, and support staff to ensure smooth workflow and output quality.
Implement production optimization techniques to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and meet delivery deadlines.
Work closely with the design and technical teams for sample development and setting up sewing and upholstery standards.
Monitor quality at all stages, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and internal QC standards.
Ensure correct usage of materials such as fabrics, zippers, foam, fiberfill, piping, Velcro, and labels.
Maintain production records, including output, defect rates, material usage, and team performance.
Oversee basic machine maintenance and coordinate servicing schedules to reduce downtime.
Conduct on-the-job training for workers to improve skills in stitching, foam wrapping, cover fitting, and finishing.
Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5 years' experience in garment or soft furnishing production, with at least 2 years in cushion/upholstery-related work.
Hands-on knowledge of foam handling, fabric cutting, sewing patterns, cover fitting, and zipper/piping installation.
Strong understanding of production line balancing, work allocation, and quality inspection.
Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop teams.
Ability to work with designers and prototypers to bring new soft goods into production.
Comfortable using basic software tools (Excel or Google Sheets) to track production and materials.
Basic English and Vietnamese communication required (additional languages a plus).
