Job Description

• Lead and support RBI preparation activities including data validation and quality checks.
• Conduct Probability of Failure (PoF) and Consequence of Failure (CoF) assessments, along with sensitivity analyses.
• Perform calculations related to retiring thickness, remaining life, and permissible operating conditions of pressure equipment and piping.
• Identify damage mechanisms, evaluate inspection results, and generate mitigation recommendations.
• Develop and update preventive inspection plans using CMMS and PCMS software.
• Facilitate RBI workshops and ensure that action items are appropriately addressed.
• Provide expert input on inspection methodologies, material selection, welding, corrosion control, and risk evaluation.
• Collaborate with design and operations teams to review drawings and comment on integrity and material aspects.
• Support turnaround and shutdown planning, including inspection scope and resource coordination.
• Prepare and present technical inspection reports and risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Mentor and train junior engineers on RBI methodologies and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgy, Chemical or Process Engineering.
• API 580/581 certification highly preferred.
• Other API/NACE certifications (e.g. API 510, API 570, API 571, API 575, API 583) are advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in risk-based inspection within refinery or petrochemical environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in RBI, corrosion circuit development, and damage mechanism reviews.
• Proficient in PCMS and inspection database management.
• Familiar with relevant codes and standards: ASME Sec VIII, B31.3, API 510/570/571/581, EEMUA 159, NORSOK, etc.
• Experienced in working with plant historian systems like Uniformance Process Studio (UPS).
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Familiar with conventional and advanced NDT techniques and their limitations.
• Strong spreadsheet, data analysis, and project scheduling skills.
• Strong presentation and technical report writing skills.
• Effective communicator and team player with leadership capability.
• Able to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Willing to work in both office and field environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
