Job Description

Navigos Search's client is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Engineer to join our global IT team, providing comprehensive support for one of our European offices. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on technical support, office IT management, infrastructure projects, and global IT collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide range of support requests across Tier 0-3 levels, escalating complex cases appropriately while ensuring efficient issue resolution both remotely and onsite.
- Deliver end-user support across multiple operating systems and platforms including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
- Manage local IT assets, including procurement, inventory tracking, consumables management, and hardware lifecycle maintenance.
- Act as the primary IT liaison for the office, engaging regularly with site leadership to gather feedback, anticipate technology needs, and coordinate IT-driven solutions.
- Collaborate closely with global IT teams to deploy, configure, and maintain servers, network switches, wireless access points, UPS devices, and related infrastructure.
- Lead IT aspects of office expansions or relocations, overseeing the full setup and configuration of IT equipment and services.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce repetitive support requests, and contribute to the development of automation and self-service tools.
- Translate complex technical issues into clear business impacts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and practices to enhance the IT environment and user experience.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience in IT support and systems administration roles.
- Strong expertise in managing Windows and Linux environments, with hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventative solutions development.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, sound judgment, and a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-driven, highly organized, and able to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced work settings.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting diverse platforms including Windows 10/11, Office 365, Android, iOS, macOS, and various Linux distributions.
- Proficiency with enterprise IT systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, virtualization platforms, VDI, GPO, NetApp, CrashPlan, BitLocker, MDT, Autopilot, and network file sharing protocols.
- Practical knowledge of automation tools such as PowerShell scripting or Ansible configuration management.
- Prior involvement in managing or leading mid-to-large scale IT infrastructure projects.
